hello all. Just wanted to pass on my news. My husband and I are expecting our third child. Just found out. The bad news is that I won't be completing in my first tri this spring. I do expect to continue working out and staying in healthy & in shape during this pregnancy - i didn't in my first two - I hope to remain in decent shape so next fall I can start training for my first tri the following spring. I'll still be using BT to log workouts - I love knowing how long and far i go every month/year - and I'm sure I'll be periodically asking other mom's for their pregnancy workouts tips.

Congratulations!   There is the best reason I have ever heard for deferring your first triathlon.  I applaud your decision to want to keep train throughout your pregnancy.

Another kid to take to Europe when the graduate high school (Aunt Mary opened her mouth when there were just a couple of goobers out there - there goes my retirement account!).

As the proud Aunt and Sister, I am encouraging Cathleen to continue working out and taking care of her self. However, as I have never had a baby before, I lack credibility. As she says, she has all intentions, but come June heat waves, the best intentions may feel like hell!

So, BT moms, back me up!

Congratulations!  I think the endurance training you'll be undergoing far exceeds what any of us will be doing for a mere triathlon!  Wish you and your family all the best in the coming months.

Congratulations!  Three will DEFINITELY keep you working out---not always how you want to, but you have to run to keep up!!!

Congratulations...my wife just had our first Dec. 4...big change...new boss in family, but worth it all...my wife has committed to running cleveland marathon in May, to make sure she stay honest, she has already paid...what a trooper...I have had to modify my schedule this year to be more local, and only sprints and oly's, but like I said, worth it all plus some...
