Hi all,

Didn't want to be a lurker, so...I'm Ronda and I'm 32 years old. I recently relocated to Colorado Springs this past fall. I'm hoping to do my first tri this summer up in Denver (Danskin Women's). I regularly do strength training, yoga, spinning, and jogging, but am looking to challenge myself further. I have never participated in organized endurance events such as this (although I played several sports in my youth). I'm in decent shape but I know I have a lot of work ahead of me in the next six months. For me, swimming will definitely be the most difficult leg in which to become proficient.

I'm glad I found this website in my search for tri info. I'm currently shopping around for a bike and would welcome any advice or suggestions (can't decide between road, hybrid, or mountain), but perhaps that topic belongs on another forum.

Also, I would love to hear from others in my area who are involved in triathalon training!

Happy New Year to everyone!

Welcome to BT and to Colorado!  Danskin is a great event!

Go with a road bike (my opinion, but a good one I think! )
