I'm thinking of doing the sprint there.  Any thoughts on the course for a first timer?

I have not gotten out to see the course yet. I have been told that it is fast and flat. A few of my friends and I will go out and check it out at some point. It's always good to know what's ahead of you. I am not sure when we will do this but I will send you a note after we take a look.

Let me know if you get any information from anyone else. Good luck and happy racing.

i am not doing the race, but it's a good bet that that course will be flat and fast it's south jersey they don't have hills in south jersey.... i would also think the roads won't have that much traffic on them either, not much going on in that part of south jersey... the only think that may be an issue is a head wind and that it is a first time race... the race director has been on other events, which have been great, but all those races have been sprints....

i'll be down there cheering everyone on...

I am doing the Sprint here, my first, and I think I am going to get a wet suit.....as I will probably need it for this one. Has anyone done a tri in the Mid-Atlantic in May...how was the water temp?

Thanks in advance.

the water temp is a wait and see... if we have a nice warm spring,(like last year) then the water temp will of course be warmer.. But i don't know an avg temp of that water per year... hope for a warm spring..

I would wear a wet suit either way...

actually, pirhana has put on the delaware diamondman 1/2 for 5 years now, and also does the olympic distance escape from fort delaware. not saying that as a first-year race it won't have its glitches, but the director is experienced at a variety of distances.
