Apparently it is a huge event. Anyone done this before or doing it?

This sounds pretty cool. Do you know what the difference is between the USMS and USA waves?
I'm thinking i'd like to be in the less competitve wave if there is one. Don't really want to get pummeled or worse, get in the way of someone who is really trying to win. I've never competed in any type of swimming event, let alone an open water event. Is just positioning yourself at the back of the group good enough to stay out of the way?

I would position towards the rear, if I do the swim that will be my plan.
