Is any planning on doing this next weekend? Did anyone race in the event last year? How does it compare to the NYTri event the following weekend at Harriman?

Good luck. I may join you. It will be a game time decision. I am signed up for the June 8th race. I raced that one last year and it was a very good race and well run like all of the NY Triathlon races. I'm interested to try the SBR series though since I live in Rockland and train up at Harriman a bit.

I did 2 of the SBR races last year. The first one (early June) was changed to a Du due to thunder that swept through and lingered at start time. I then did the August race. Reports are posted if you want to read them. I loved the trail run, some did not. Water should be warm but wetsuit legal.

I will cya there!

The water in Lake Sebago last weekend was 72 degrees, so I wouldn't be surprised if it warmed up another degree or two. I am still going to use a wetsuit.

Expect hills for the biking portion and take it easy on the U turn @ the bottom of the hill descent.

Also, the weather so far is looking pretty warm for sunday, so stay hydrated. Hopefully by the time we finished it won't get too hot yet.

Good luck!
