although I am in no shape to try one of these yet [target date for losing tri-virginity is next year's Meek & Mighty in April] I am thinking about coming out there this weekend to see it all go down --- I bet my 4 yr old would get a kick out of it and it would give me an opportunity to see one for the first time

good thing it's in the AM ...... high for the day is projected to be about 95!!!

I will do my best to get out there and cheer you folks on

thanks to all the competitors (and volunteers) ... you guys put on a great event today --- was eye-opening, to say the least

did not know what to expect when I went to watch it today .... but it's certainly (as one volunteer eloquentlly stated) "all sorts of people from all walks of life" .... and all of them are winners in my book

the quote of the day (at least from my vantage point) was from a young guy who had just finished his first race: "this is the best deal in the world ... $70 let you compete and then it's all the beer you can drink!!!!" [GMTA]

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is Team Terri?

I was there, I did 1:28:44. My sister beat me by about 2 mins. That was a fast swim! I did 7:45 and Im not a swimmer!

Yeah she was I think.

Hmmm I think I overheard an announcement about Terri. I heard something about someone doing the race last year even while sick from chemo. Way to go Terri!!! What an honor to do a race with you!
