Day One - The swim was NOT fun.  Got slapped all over the place and sucked in much water.  Hopefully the bike ride tomorrow morning is better!  Mutri says "Hi" and "good night" (he's staying at my place.  My sons haven't tore him apart yet.   )!

Day two - IM bike route.  VERY BRUTAL WINDS, 87 degrees F, and really humid.  Made a very tough ride today!  Tripletmom Josh did the WHOOOOOOOLE thing!  Birkie and Yams did the 2 loops and "stick", too (natch)!  Craig and I hung back and shot the shat during the "stick" and one loop - much appreciated!

Tomorrow - Early bird run.  Starts at Monona Terrace and doing one loop (1/2 marathon).  EEEAAAWWW!!

Hey, I'd love to hang with you guys on the run course tomorrow, but my pace at a half mary is going to be terrible. I'm thinking around a 2 hour finish time for me. Anyone going at that pace or will I be DFL?

Hey folks--

Sorry, but the weather has spoiled my plans to join you tomorrow morning and tape more of the IMMOO camp. I tried to get downtown tonight to pick up my camera, four-wheeling through extended sections of roads with water over my tires, only to find the highway at a standstill. I just backed off the on-ramp and turned around. I have to imagine the roads and paths around Madison will be similarly bad shape tomorrow. I'd love to be there to capture the fun, but it's just not practical due to Mother Nature. I hope somehow you're still able to get in a good run tomorrow without me!

Rich

Alright, I'll see how my legs are feeling in the morning and take it from there.

I should also mention that there was a lot of construction going on at the hospital where you have to run up that loop and across Park St. and I don't know if it's passable. Not the biggest deal in the world, since getting around that isn't too bad, but just though you should be aware.

Scooby - too bad you couldn't make it, BUT, SAFETY FIRST!!

We had 8 do the run this morning, and Josh (mutri) biked along Tammy (tritwinmom).

Interesting day, nonetheless.  I was the last one in with doing 12.1 miles in 2:10.  We walked off and on and got a little lost at a couple of turns due to construction.

Thanks for taking the time and doing the interviews, doot, and for being there!

Did you make it?  There were a total of 8 of us that ran.  The construction that we dealt with was the road in front of Camp Randall, the Babcock Drive turnoff (closed, so we did a makeshift re-route), and the lower State Street (we didn't do the 1/4 to 1/2 mile run up and turnaround).

We got pelted for a couple of minutes from rain while starting the ascent of Observatory Hill (the elements added insult to injury).

Otherwise, a definite learning experience for all and things to think about, plan, and prepare for.
