Great job on the run and great job having FUN (don't tell too many people they might not believe you!)

I am doing a relay in August with a questionable 2.2 mile swim (someone is supposed to do it but I am back up). At least I have some warning - unlike you did - to at least train for the distance.

Way to go and cool antlers - those make it worth the trip right there!

I almost wore them to work today....

That's the problem with this sport ...... after every finish of a slightly longer distance participants step back and go, "Huh, that was a little easier than I thought.  Maybe going for the next longer distance wouldn't be so bad!"

They may not do that the day AFTER the race, but within a week or two the wheels start spinning.

Hmm..  I don't know.  I never felt that way.

I have no plan on doing a HIM (or longer), ever.

Ha Ha!!!

Told you so

The most dangerous moment in an Endurance Athlete's life is when they include the word "Never" in a sentence

It usually means something is about to happen and it is more often then not, the action associated with that word.

As for Boston, if you have not already looked, you need to run a 4:00:59 or faster marathon to qualify. You can run as late as about January or possibly February and still get into the current year's race.

yeah I looked -  I would have to do a charity or invitational bib but still not on my radar unless it becomes part of HIM training!  I liked volunteering and watching people run by....at mile 18 they looked rather in pain.....

but no, I will not use the word never - and my mom ALWAYS said never say never....you'd think I would learn....
