Subject: Look vs Look Keo Pedals

I have a road bike with Look Keo pedals and just bought a tri bike with Look (946 I think) pedals.  Right now it's not a huge problem as I have two pairs of shoes so I'll just use one for each bike.  In the long run, I'd like to consolidate to one pedal system.  Anyone have a preference between the two?  It looks like the big difference is that the Look has a bigger base and the ability to adjust the tension settings in the back of the pedal.  Am I missing anything else?

Thanks!

Are you sure you want to stay with the Look style pedals?

I have the Speedplay x2' Chromoly pedals on my road and tri-bike and LOVE them.

Similarly, I have the Speedplay Zero's ... and love them.  Less "skating" when walking around in cycling shoes, easy to mount/clip-in and light weight.

That said, it pays to consolidate to one set of pedals.  Juggling shoes is a recipe for a mistake being made somewhere down the line ... at the time that is most inconvenient,  of course!

Yes, I want to stay with the Look.  I've been using them for a few years and I like them.  Don't see any need to change them.

I'm loyal to LOOK; actually, my road bike is their frame. Anyway, if I were to pick one, I'd go keo. The old delta cleat may be obsoleted and they've never shared their molds w/ other manufacturers. Keo will be around for a while longer.

I've had both and don't have a preference nor notice a difference. Maybe the Keo is a bit stronger as I've not accidentally unclipped and was capable of pulling out of the delta cleat pedals if I really sprinted hard.

i'd go with keo too -- i also have keo on my tri bike, look's on my road bike (just got tri bike), and i like the keo's way better. they are way easier to get into, in my opinion. that could be because my look cleats are really beat up, but i think the keo's work great!

Thanks!  Sounds like getting another pair of Keos is a better option.
