My Spanish is done. He really gave us a lot today. This was the first time ever that I have come right home and gotten it done. But I HATE it so much I didn't want it hanging over me this weekend. I have 2 tests on tuesday and one is with a new professor. I'm sure her's will be the toughest tests I've seen in a long time. Lots of history to read before then as well, because I read the WRONG chapter AGAIN. This prof has the old book and we all have the new book. He made the syllabus from his book and nothing matches ours. You's think I'd have it figured out by now, but noooooooo.

So anyhow, tonight's task is done, and I am going to bed!

Ellen, maybe some day you can explain how a black cat equates to an A on Kevin's test.  If you need any Spanish help, I lived in Miami for 7 years and picked up a lot of the language.  I don't know how much your prof would appreciate the words I learned, but it would give you something nice to add on the "embarrassment" thread!  But anyway, congrats on the potential "A" Kevin.

9:30 is not early when I get up at 5AM!! And I'm in class from 8 - 3, it's kind of wearing with a 1 hour commute each way.

Hope you got that A!

huh?

We're reading about Chinese government....when I'm not here of course. I am reading it out loud to my 13 yr old son. He could not be less thrilled if he wanted to. I told him he can read it to me while I'm driving the 3 hours to NH at 5AM tomorrow.

pretty much. I don't get much sleep. As a matter of fact, I was just talking to my doctor about this recently. Now I have a lovely little pill for when it is really too much. I hate taking it, but sometimes it's nice to actually sleep

Joe, I am really enjoying going to school, now that I'm a 40-something yr old student. I really believe education is wasted on the young (no offense to any of you guys going to school right from high school but some of the kids in my classes are really wasting their time there).

oh, and I don't have a job, that helps

Hey TriMom,

Good Job on going back to school. That's awesome that you are back at it. I have people in my classes that are my parents age. It's pretty cool. I tell my mom that she should go back to school but she says she couldn't do it.

As for the people wasting their time right after high school, I know a lot of those people. Those are the kids that have nothing to do and are trying to prolong growing up by staying in school and screwing around and not caring for another 4+ years. It makes me angry when I see these people just wasting their time. Then I realize that it is their life and not mine.

All I know is that I'm counting down the semesters until I student teach in the triathlon mecca (Australia). 3 more! Then it is teaching. Woo Hoo. Other than that, congrats once again.

Cory

hiya Cory,
so you're going to be a teacher too? In Australia no less? I am very jealous! Where do you go to school? I hope to be doing my student teaching in the fall of '05. I have some classes to wrap up this summer and this fall, then next spring there is a teaching block I have to do, so it's still a way off.

as for all the kids just wasting time there, you hit the nail on the head. It's not my business. My business was making sure my own kids stay in and I couldn't even do that so I won't be worrying about the kids that are still there.

Tell your mom I started with 1 class five years ago. It was basically a math refresher course. Then I took the second part for the next semester. I did all the English GER's one at a time. Then I got daring and took TWO classes! Now I'm taking 6 and just smokin' right along.

Congrats to you too my friend, it sounds as if you know where you're going
