Training in Sandusky

Our family will be vacationing in Sandusky the last week of July for one of my daughter's dance competitions, and I'm scouting out training locations. The timing is not ideal. It's 4 weeks before my first HIM (Great Illini), so the week doesn't fall on an easy week in my training plan. My plan calls for 3 - 1 hr swims, 2 - 1 hr bikes and a 4 hr long ride, and 2 - 40 minute runs with a 15 mile long run.

We are renting a condo for the week on Shoreline Dr. I found a 7+ mile loop on MapMyRun.com. I figure I can do one loop for the short runs, and two loops for the long run.

Any advice on places to swim and safe bike routes would be greatly appreciated.
