I would have like to but I promised to cut down on tri's to make room for long training weekends.  This was one of my favorite tri's from last year.  They have one of the greatests hills in MN tri's to tackle.  Have fun.

You are SOOO right about that hill!! Last year this race was also one of my favorites.  I pulled my speed laces out of my shoes in T2 and ran the first 1 1/2 miles with out laces holding the tongues of my shoes in.  Then I got to the aid station and handed my shoes to the lady working it and ran barefoot the rest of the way.  Oooo the memories of Mankato   Good luck and like always HAVE FUN!!

I've been swimming in Hinicker pond this whole week and biked up the hill yesterday. That hill is EASY compared to the one in the Rochester Duathlon!!! I've also been biking up the 99 hill in St. Peter, which is steeper and much longer than the Lookout drive hill in mankato. I'm feeling pretty good about this race since I have been able to train on the race site. It is nice being a 'native' to where the race is taking place!

How did it go for you? I didn't check in here before the tri, otherwise we could've made plans to meet up. This was a really fun tri for me. My first one was the weekend before and the swim really messed me up. This time, I handled the swim so much better, even though I was still slow! I felt good throughout the whole race, and I liked the course. I'm a freak for conquering hills!

It was a great tri for me....
Of course I would have like to be faster .... but I ran my own race, and I'm happy with the result.
I clocked in 1:28, I like the course, too.

I came in just a little after you at 1:33. The chip didn't register me when I left T1, so I have no T1 time or bike time. I estimated based upon what the times were for the swim and run, but it is nice to just have the exact number.
