Subject: Goal = Fit competitive tri training in college schedule

Hi all,

I've been a runner and swimmer for a few years and I'm trying to pick up the whole triathlon thing.  It's hard because I am a college physics major and have a busy schedule even in summer, and my girlfriend hates healthy food and breaking a sweat.

So if you have any advice for me that'd be great.  Right now I am wrestling with the idea of waking up excessively early before work to fit swims into my workout.

 Thanks in a advance,

BT

You just got to go for it. I am in the same boat with the whole gf thing, she gives me hard time about training! I can tell you that you are going to have more time to train now than when you are done with school. Working out before work is great, if you are a morning person. I think you will find that cycling is the toughest to get into with your schedule, but swimming and running are pretty easy to fit in. What I think is best is to just schedule, and pay for a race. Then you will make yourself find the time. Good luck!
