I am not but I got a friend doing her first tri so I plan on going out there and supporting her. I figure I will ride my bike there so hopely I can bike to see her.

how did it go???

Well, I survived the swim (two years ago, I ended up in boat due to panic attack), averaged 19.6 on the bike which I was really happy with, and the run, well, that cost me 6th place in my age group due to my side pain issues which I am going back to the sports medicine specialist at UIC on Thursday to see what else we can do to keep this thing at bay so I don't "crash" on the run.

Having been a runner for over 20 years, and a competitive person in these races, it kills me that this thing flares up so randomly.

Thanks for asking!  It stopped raining, and the sun was out, so it was GLORIOUS otherwise!!
