Subject: Pools around Broken Arrow/South Tulsa

Hi

I'm visiting my mom this month and want to keep training while I'm there. I'm looking for a public pool where I can lap swim. She lives in Broken Arrow but when I look on the Parks site for public pools they don't have lap swimming (or I couldn't find it) listed.

Can anyone out there direct me to a facility in BA or South Tulsa open to the public which has lap swimming times?

There a few facilities in Tulsa that have pools but you will have to pay a guest fee of about $10.

There is the Health Zone - 71st and Yale - 25 yard pool with three lanes. Nice facility

St. John's - 21st and Utica - 25 yards - 3 lanes - Nice facility - Not sure about guest fee.

YWCA - 21st and Lewis - 25 meters - 3 lanes - Good facility - I think the guest fees are $5 here.

McClure City Park Pool - 50 Meter pool - I know they have lap swimming but not sure when. will need to call - this is an outdoor pool.

You can call each to get hours and actual fees.

If you need more ideas just post again.

Forgot to add - If you are here on Monday's the Tulsa Area Triathletes have an open water swim at Lake Skiatook at 6:30. About 40 minutes Northwest of Tulsa. Swim length is up to you but there are usaully 6 to 10 people out there. People will be more than happy to swim with you. Check out there yahoo group http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/TAT-OK/ for postings the day of or just shoot me an e-mail and I will get you a contact.

That's awesome!  thank you so much - plenty of options so no excuses to slack off while on vacation! 

May try to make the Monday OWS swim.
