Troika HIM starts at Medical Lake, which is outside of Spokane a few miles.  There's also Silver Lake in the same area.  North of Spokane are lots of lakes but probably too far just to swim.  Hopefully someone who lives there will speak up!  I am from that area but it's been 20 years so I don't remember all the details.  There must be a multisport store in Spokane you could call to see what they say, possibly hook up with a local tri group?
