Muskoka 70.3 bike course

Anymore details, numbers etc? I assume they got the entire course paved as promised?

I did a training camp this weekend and we skipped around the unpaved part. I'm not a really strong cyclist but I felt like I was back at the beginning with hill climbing. I have a cottage in the area so I'm going to go back another time or 3 to get through it.

It's got long slow ones, short sharp ones, ones that appear around corners. Ones that inspire potty mouth...

But it is very scenic route, lots of shady lake side spots so if it's hot that day the trip will be a little more cooler with the locale. The run also features some shady areas.

We had veterans in the groups who felt it was a pretty tough route - so, if you are racing - lots of hill repeats.

So...should I bring my walker to use for the days to follow? Sounds like we are all going to be limping the next day!!

From what I heard from some people who did the Chase the road is very rough in places.

That's a bummer. I'd be more concerned about the unpaved sections. If it's anything like things around here I'd wonder if there going to get things paved in time.

Can't wait for race reports though, as I had my sites on this, but with kid stuff going on it was to hard to leave town that weekend this year. Next year things may clear up, hopefully.
