That is absolutely disgusting.  I can't believe our athletes are willing to risk the long term damage they could face to go over there.  Hopefully the Olympic committee learns from the horrible mistake they've made here.

With the increase in transportation costs, it is becoming more cost effective for some companies to have their manufacturing done state-side.  The problem is figuring out how to keep the production costs low enough in the U.S. without running afoul of the immigration rules...

Do y'all think we'll see the athlete's performances affected by the conditions (ie, people doing poorly, off their game, etc)? I can't imagine that any of them would want to put themselves in that environment. Ugh...

I could definitely see all the athletes doing better in all the competitions this summer.  I know I find it harder to run along the road because of car exhaust, I can't even imagine what it will be like at the Games.

Well, they are taking dog off the menu.  So I guess that could be a plus on the good side.

Sick. Thank god, though, since those poor athletes can't bring any food into the country. Man, I wouldn't even compete. I'm picky enough about the food I eat before training/racing and I'm a terrible athlete, so I can't even IMAGINE what'd it'd be like for one of these guys.
