Not only was this the first one I missed, I was also out of town.

How was it?

I had fun, even though there was nasty headwinds out on the rollers & Barcelo (but fabulous tailwinds coming home!!) and the run was HOT.

Just getting all my stats together and will be working on my RR in the next day or so.

Yeah, the wind is typical for that section. Looking forward to your RR.

Sorry, I've been a bit out of touch lately. I thought the day was great....weather was really good, not as hot as last year. First half of the bike was good as it was mostly cloudy, however, the headwinds were bad and I didn't enjoy that part. Coming back, as Leah said, was great! I enjoyed the run and loved the whole course overall. Hopefully I'll get my RR up soon.

Delayed response here; went on a road trip to the Rockies after Osoyoos; I really enjoyed the Desert HIM; nice morning temps, I had a great swim, clear water most of way. Bike ride was fun (I like hills though I am not fast!) though the headwind into Cawston was tough (as was watching people whizz back the opposite direction!). First half of the run was great, had a good tempo. Last half of the run got a bit tougher as I struggled to stay cool and keep my pace - but I managed to cross the finish line with a smile which was what counted for me. Overall i really enjoyed this race, will be back next year i hope with a few more bike miles under my belt...
