I got to volunteer at special needs for the bike and it was GREAT!!! It was amazing watching some of the guys come through not stopping and grabbing their stuff. I also got to help people refill their drinks, change a tire, held my teammates vasoline while he lubed his undercarriage , put bio freeze on a guys knee...it was great. It was very intense but very rewarding. Plus it made me realize what I need for next year!

Well, my family was volunteering at the finish line for Vineman, and they seemed to like it a lot. And from my perspective, it was VERY sweet to have my daughter put the medal over my neck.

I'll be volunteering at IMC this year, the first 4 hours at the finish line, then another 3-4 at triage in the medical tent.  I've volunteered several times at IMCDA in the medical tent also.  In fact, working the med tent at the very first IMCDA was what inspired me to get started in this whole triathlon craziness to begin with!

Wherever you end up working, it's guaranteed to be a great experience and you're going to have a fun, rewarding time.

ditchdoc - 2008-07-20 2:33 PM I'll be Volunterering at this years IM FL, ( DOnt erite it thother way FLIM sounds kinda gross, worse than wet suit pee or bike pee that's for sure.) I am offering my paramedic skills if they can be used, if not I'll do what ever. Hey any of ya'll wanna get togehter for dinner and / or cocktails one night???

Just signed up to volenteer at IMFL also.  It would be great to meet some fellow BTer's volenteers and racers.  I hope we can get together at some point.
