Question for those who did the Chattanooga Waterfront tri this past weekend.

How did the course mile markings compare to your bike computer distance?  I had a new bike and new computer so I didn't have confidence in my computer.  I thought the race, being an Oly distance, was gonna be 40K or 24.85 mile...but they race site says it is 26.1 miles.  The mile markers on the course did not match my computer....and I showed the course to be 26.4 miles (bike rack to bike rack).  This seems to indicate the course was really 26.1 miles...and therefore the mile markers on the course were just wrong.

Can someone confirm or deny this?

BTW, while on the course I asked two other riders what their computer was showing for distance and one of them said they forgot to reset theirs and the other said theirs was not working.  Geesh, am I the only one who is AR about their computer?

The race was advertised as a 42k race so 26 would be just about right. My bike computer said it was about 25.8, but I only use my bike computer for rough estimates because it always is off from those I ride with.
