 6 |  Subject: Hello from Fulton, MOHello, My name is Melody and I live in Fulton, MO. Our nine year-old completed her first triathlon this summer and inspired me to pursue the goal I have had on my list for the last 10+ years. I only hope I can complete it with as much dignity and grace as she did. So, that's why I'm here. I am interested in this sport and rearing to go! I just finishing up swimming lessons and I'll then turn my focus toward biking. I have been running (distance) since high school (cross country), but I had never learned to properly swim and I don't know anything about biking (other than the bikes are expensive). That's about it... thanks for having me! |

Log your workouts, join in the chatter, ask questions ... we're here to help!Congrats on your daughter's inspiring accomplishment. It's funny, I never felt so humbled or so much a triathlete as when I was volunteering at a kids' tri. Watching them made me feel both in awe of them and proud that I was a part of their sport.  |

| 6 | Subject: RE: Hello from Fulton, MO Thank you for your encouragement, Yanti. I have been logging workouts. It's funny how just logging the workouts pushes me to want to do more. It's like seeing it in writing makes me think I should be doing more. Thanks for your kind words about our daughter. I always think it's amazing to see a child doing something (or even trying something) that I feel I can't do. They haven't been told a million times that they can't do things, so they don't even think of that as an option.
