Ouchy! What happened? Sorry for your pretty bike, congrats on the soon-to-be-new ride.

Thirty miles for me on the bike this morning, then dragging the kiddies to a Mardi Gras parade. Maybe a short ride on the tribike when we get back...

I never get to check the forums on the weekend...but I'm here at work bright and early to do some testing and thought I would sneak a peak.
I have dance classes I'm teaching most of the day today, but I am going to try to get in a swim workout this afternoon...gotta keep working on this T1 drills.

Long run this morning (well, it's long for me anyway)...1 hour of running.  Going to try out some of the ChiRunning principles.  Then, an hour of swimming this afternoon...lots of form work.

A rest day today.  I have a LARGE  family gathering this afternoon  and I am in charge of it all.  So it will be an exercise rest, but not a physical rest.

Soon I head off for my 60min run followed by an easy recovery bike. I think I'll bike <45min on the stationary at the gym.

A great long run this morning -- 9.5 miles -- where the good weather seems to have made people nicer than usual... a guy driving a pick-up truck actually stopped dead in traffic so as not to go through a puddle and splash me (of course, maybe he was stopped dead in his tracks by my lithe form and grace! ).

This afternoon I'll head to the club to start trying out some of the TI drills -- I signed up for one of their workshops and I just got my DVD that goes over some of the stuff we'll be doing in class.

a car turned right into another road without looking or indicating, he stopped, i tried to dodge and brake, hit the bonnet, went over the side of it, bike snapped at the connection to the bars/headset. he was really good though, after i stopped swearing, he addmitted it was all his fault, gave me a lift home and said he would replace the bike etc.

wheels and groupset are oddly ok though except maybe the right gear shifter which looks mangled as thats where i hit the car

and just incase u were wondering, u come out of clipless when u hit a car

ginger ninja: Glad you are okay after an accident like that, and that everything is working out.

Long run (for me) this afternoon.  Will probably shoot for 4+ miles.

Have a great day everyone!

22 miles for me today, longest run ever! I did a 9 mile pre race run and then completed a half marathon. I had some significant right hamstring pain most of the day, but I was able to complete all my miles

28 mile ride outside this morning! It was beautiful! 55 degrees in the middle of winter!

This was a surprise outdoor ride, too. I thought my outdoor season was over in December, and then it got so warm this weekend that we decided to go! Back to the trainer next week, though.

Cool, looks like the welds failed right at the headset. With a clean break such as that, it would seem like it could be fixed. (Not to interfere with your excuse to get a new one).

I had a pretty bad Saturday too.  I started off on a LSD run and about two miles into it I had some type of allergic reaction/seizure.  Went completely out for about a half hour.  When I woke up, the fire dept was there along with about half the neighborhood.

Looks like I'm taking a break until I can get some tests done and figure out what caused this.  They did a CT scan of my heart and head at the ER but couldn't find anything.  This sux.  Now for the big question.  Do I log the 2 miles as training time?

Ginger, Sorry to hear about your bike.  That's a real bummer.
