Subject: Quakertown Endurasport Mini/Half

Wondering if anyone is planning on doing either of these races. They put on a good race over there and the couse is nice. I am signed up for the mini.

I'm heading up there this Saturday AM to ride the course. Should be doing 38 miles in case anyone wants to join me. You can send me a PM if so.

Water quality was good last year and has a reputation for being a good venue. I've only done a handful of tris but this is the 2nd best lake I've swim in.

From the race website:

9/3 Update - We're tracking Hurricane Hanna closely but it's too soon to tell if it will make a major impact on the event. As of today, it looks like we'll have rain and some wind. We have contingency plans in place that may call for canceling the swim (if lighting or too windy), the bike (if too windy), and the entire event all together. If the swim is canceled, we'll have a run, bike, run event. If the swim and bike are canceled, we will have a run-only event. If the weather forces a total cancellation there is no rain date.

If the event is canceled, we will change the phone message on the office phone - 203.262.3376. Otherwise you should assume the event is on.

So, no, it would not be put off to Sunday. If the weather is really really bad, it'll just be cancelled altogether.
