I had a bad run today. I was supposed to do my 17 mile run for the marathon training and came up short at 15. What makes me most upset is that it was only 2 miles and I just stopped cause it hurt to bad. I have done 2 other marathons and several HIM and only done this once before. (My first year of training). I don't know why I stopped. Hopefully this will haunt me all week and get me pumped for my 18 mile run on Sunday.

I have had this happen, usually it either means, mentally I just wasn't ready THAT one day for the length I was running, or it meant my body wasn't ready on THAT particular day to do what I was asking of it.  You will probably be fine on sunday.

Your marathon training plan has two 15+ miles scheduled for the same week? Wow! If this is representative of the volume build of the plan prior to today, then I'd say you just had a bad day.

It happened to me on Saturday.  Some days are just bad.  It'll get better.
