Patriots Half (9/6/08) - checking in

Hey fellow Patriots to be. This will be HIM number two for me (first this season), and just wanted to check in. Any pointers, tips, or cautions for this course? It looks relatively flat and fast, though I must say the James river (at least the parts I've seen) can be pretty muddy. Oh well.

I'm a bit undertrained - just got in my first couple rides over 3 hours and runs over 2 hours in the last two weeks. So I'm feeling good about finishing, but wish I had an extra build period in my schedule but still had time to taper. But as it stands now, I've got a few more medium-long workouts and then taper starts on Monday.

Good luck to everyone out there. I'll be on a US postal (red/white/blue) Trek 1000 road bike that's 8+ years old and ready to be retired, so hard to miss.
