Subject: brain fog and exercise?

So, my head has been feeling kind of numb for a while now.  Today it is really bad.  Hard to concentrate, just feeling a bit spacy.  It seems to correlate with my increased level of exercise, although I did not workout yesterday or today.  I eat quite a bit of protein along with carbs.

Anyone else have this problem and associate it with exercise?  Or anything?

Sometimes I'm a little spaced out after a really hard swim, but that's about it.  Usually passes after an hour or two.

Are you getting enough rest/sleep?

Personally, I find that getting in a decent training session actually sharpens me mentally overall.  I do discount the first hour or so afterwards cause I'm swimming in endorphins, but if I'm feeling foggy to begin with, a decent (not necessarily super hard) workout really helps.

I have had that after a hard workout but it goes away after an hour or so.

One night after an hour of speed work on the track and then another hour of drills in the pool I got on my motorcycle to head home. I was in a fog and forgot to put up my kickstand, was not able to make the left hand turn right after getting on the road, I stopped as I hit the curb breaking my big toe and looking like a total idiot.
