Expert  769    Alpharetta (until we find a home) |  Subject: 2008 Scattante T-560I have a 200$ road bike with slap on aero bars. I wont drop 2000+$ on a triathlon specific bike. I have the chance to get a tri specific bike for 800$ (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=5821&subcategory_ID=3040). Does anyone have any experience with this brand? The componet set it comes with is nicer than my current set. My current roadie has aluminum frame and carbon fork. This bike set is about 1.5 lbs lighter than my current bike. I am curious about the seat angle and how it will affect riding. I have ridden the bike at the store and it was pretty smooth but around the parking lot and 25 miles are two different things. Any suggestions? |

At $999, the bike's a bood deal, but not as good at this one: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/nemesis06_SPECIALpre.htm Same price but better component spec. May in fact be the same frame. |

Expert 769 Alpharetta (until we find a home) | Subject: RE: 2008 Scattante T-560 it does look very similar. I was measured at a bike shop and they said I was pretty good for a 56 frame. Should I take this as a good estimate when ordering off the internet? I realize from that point a fitting should happen to adjust seat/bar placements to maximize what I have. |
