Subject: 25 MINUTES

I'm not one for horn tooting, but I just gotta today.   Did the Santa Barbara Long Course tri today (1 mile/34 mile/10 mile) for the second year in a row, wanted to improve on my 4:15 of last year, at least beat 4:00

I beat last year, by 25 minutes going 3:50! And while each leg improved, it's my run that I am most proud of:

Swim
2007 - 26:39
2008 - 24:38

Bike
2007 - 1:56:06
2008 - 1:49:01

Run
2007 - 1:47:10
2008 - 1:31:50!!!  Woot!  10:43 average to 9:11

(Bike course was .6 mile shorter than last year due to construction but had slightly more climbing.)

Goes to show what losing 18 or so pounds and a year of consistent run training will do.

Congrats! That's a great improvement and worth some horn tooting. I'm incredibly jealous of your swim time!

Impressive Chris!

More impressive is that you are a long time triathlete when gains are harder to make after year 1 or 2. Losing weight and good  smart consistent training makes a huge difference.

Congrats!!!!

That's great!!  I am currently at the point you were at last year in the run and struggling to improve. It's a good motivator to see someone succeeding.  Thanks!!!

Clearly - you rawk!!! That's fantastic.

Your swim time makes me laugh at myself. In a wow-you've-got-a-ways-to-go good way. My 1/4 mile swim time is currently at 19:36. Heh. You're like M Phelps compared to me. Fortunately for me I am still in that nice part of the swim learning curve where gains come quickly and often. You knocked all yours out of the park at a place in the curve where it's all hard work for a little gain. GREAT JOB!!!!

TOOT!!
