Subject: What do you like to ride with
Im going to be getting some new tires this week... so some user feed back would be great!!!!

what kind of tires do you prefer on a TRI bike? and why?

wheres the best place to find them at?

I've become a slave to Zipp Tangentes, both the open tubulars (a realtively silly name for "clincher") and thew tubulars, which I race on.

They are oh so smooth riding, good puncture resistance, low-ish rolling resistance. I like 'em.

Footnote: Man, I've tried a lot of different tires:

-Michelin Pro Race 3 (quite nice).
-Continental Attack and Force combination (my second favorite).
-Continental Gran Prix 4000 (pretty good, nothing to write home about, just good tires...)
-Continental Gran Prix 4000 "S" (nope, couldn;t tell the difference with the "S")
-Vittoria Pro Slick (ride nice, but flat quite easily, low mileage tire).
-Vittoria Rubino (better than pro slick).
-Vittoria Rubino Pro Tech (very nice, like the continentals mostly).
-Vittoria Open Corsa CX (super, super nice ride but not-so-good durability).

PBK had the cheapest price for them when I ordered mine. Think they were <$37, but that was a few months ago before they had the color options.

I like the P3R's, but should mention that my rear tire had a couple of divots after the first few rides. I haven't seen any new ones for the past couple hundred miles and they don't appear to be deep enough to be risking a blow out. Could have just been a nasty patch of glass that I hit early on that might have flatted with a lesser tire.
