Invitation to BTers to meet up Saturday morning for a short ride and a practice swim.  The plan for Saturday morning is to meet up at the Great Lawn (practive swim area) at 0730 hrs and go for a short/easy (maybe 1/2 an hour?) out/back bike ride on the course.   After the ride, we'll jump in the river to cool our jets and try to outswim the catfish, algae and piranah.  Those of us that have them will wear our yellow IMKY/BT shirts so we'll be easy to find.

I hope to still be sleeping at 7:30, but I will try to make it for the swim after your ride.
Then again, I'll probably be there at 3am since I won't be able to sleep at all.

x3.  It sounds like I may pack light (at least as far as clothes) as I'll be wearing my yellow BT shirt alot.  Maybe I should have ordered more...

I'm in for the swim and half of the bike, then going for a short run.

My coach has me do a 15/15/15 (15' of each discipline) on the day before the race.

OK then, that's our play.  15/15/15 sounds good to me.

Meet at 7:30 at the swim start.  Hang out till about 7:45 waiting for people to arrive.  Bike 15 minutes, come back and draw straws for who has to watch the bikes while we swim.  Then go for a 15 minutes easy jog.

i = confused.

You have a point on your head.  Hmmmm, hadn't really thought about it.  I guess I was thinking since the practice swim area doesn't open till 0800 we could bike early.  Also, if you are riding your bike to the swim start, you will already be in biking gear.

I'm easy though.  I'm not cheap...but I am easy.  So we vote:

SBR or BSR ??

And Gary, that would be EST....no wait, EDT time.  My plan is to get up early Saturday so I'll be tired come Saturday night and not lay in bed tossing and turning for a long time.  My daddy always told me, "Son, if you're not in bed by 10 o'clock....just come on home."

Is it Friday yet?!

I'll watch your bikes.  I'm gonna try to swim Saturday morning, but since I'm not an official participant, I may not be able to swim until later.  May as well make myself useful.

SBR would seem to make sense, but at the same time an easy 15 minute effort with each discipline in any order at this stage of the game isn't going to make or break anybody.

 physically, no. mentally, yes.  i'm looking forward to meeting some peeps either way.  but the hell if i'm gonna practice my "home run" trot by heading for 3rd base first.

Is anyone going to mind an extra 30 minutes of sleep.  Lets just meet up for the swim at 8:00!  Nothing else going on until 10AM anyways right?

I'm in, and I'll go with the flow, but B/R/S will be easier logistically.
plus, I like the cool down swim, and after the exposure to the killer algae, I won't have to die on the bike.
