Emerald Coast Sept 6 Cancelled

I just heard this was posted and checked the website...

To All Athlete's,

We must cancel race #3 due to Tropical Storm Gustav. The storm is expected to reach Hurricane strength....The City of Panama City Beach, FL., has advised us they may not be able to offer the required police support.

We apologize for this uncontrolled situation. This is only the second race in the last 55 triathlons that Emerald Coast Events has cancelled due to weather.

All race #3 registrations will be honored at race #4, October 11, 2008...Please note, Race #4, Oct. 11, 2008, is the only race that registrations may be transferred.

We hope to see all of you in October
