Alright, so I've got a set of race wheels (HED Jet60C2's) on the way, and now I am trying to figure out what tire you all would recommend. Clincher rims, made for 23mm tires. I'm going to make this a poll, but with no options, as I don't really have great knowledge of bike tires. Will be used mostly for racing, with some training rides.

Thanks.

Edit: So, I guess if you don't add in options it won't become a poll.  Oh well, I'll still take any recommendations.

Michelin Pro 2 (or 3) Race tires - great all-round clincher.

http://www.rouesartisanales.com/article-1503651-6.html has a couple of charts comparing puncture resistance, rolling resistance, grip, etc for some of the more popular tires.

I've seen the Michelins mentioned a lot lately. I'm currently riding Conti Gator Skins due to flatting issues where I do most of my riding ( drinking and driving is a sport/past time in Texas, tossing the bottles at signs creates a lot of glass to dodge ) and am about due for a new tire in the rear. My thinking is putting the gators on my old wheels and putting the Michelins on my new ones. I can vouch for the flatting protection on of the Contis if that is an issue for you, but am curious how the Michelins hold up in this area as well. Sorry for slight on topic hijack.

Been riding Michelin Pro 2's than recently switched to Hutchinson's. While I have no quantitative data, I like the feel of the Michelin's better and will go back to them.

I've had very good experiences with both Michelin's and Conti Gatorskins.  Not so good with Hutchinson's.

I had been using the Conti GP4000S.  I really like the feel of them, but while I only flatted once, I was getting cuts all over on them by about 1,000 miles.

Just switched to Michelon Pro Race 3, but haven't had a chance to fully test them yet.

I've also had very good luck with tires from Seasonal Outfitters (eBay store).  They're in Oregon, and have really good prices and fast shipping.

PBK is also very good.  I just go to whichever is a few bucks cheaper and has the right tire and color in stock.
