does anyone know how to raise handle bars on 1996 specialized stumpjumper?

not sure....this is how much I don't know about my bike! Took it out for a ride for the first time riding a bike in 20 years or so. Went about 15 miles at a pretty fast pace. My hands went numb after awhie. Any suggestions on how not to have that happen?

Do you have cycling gloves or bar ends? Your friendly LBS (Local Bike Shop) may be able to do a quick adjustment for free or a few bucks.

Getting used to cycling again, is a pain in the Butt and elsewhere too. The bar ends will, if you do not have them, allow different hand positions, thus changing pressure ares and wrist angle.


bring the bike in for a tuneup, and ask about adjusting your bar height.
