The degree to which this couple, Barbara and Tom, influenced our sport cannot be over rated. Tom is an original Ironman and an original triathlete dating back to the 1970's His wife was Barbara, the poor woman who perished in the the accident.

I know Tom from the Marathon Des Sables in Morocco, Northern Africa. It is a terrible loss. I wish her family peace as Barbara has found hers.
