How many pairs of bike shorts, tri shorts, tops and jerseys does one own?

I saw somewhere that people tend to purchase 2-3 bike shorts per season and 2 jersey's.

 just curious.

I've got 1 pair of tri shorts, 2 or 3 pairs of bike shorts and I think 3 jerseys.  LOTS of shorts and t-shirts for running.

I've had my bike shorts & jerseys for years, they've held up just fine - it will probably be a while before I need to buy any new ones.

Uhhhh, way too much stuff here. I went crazy on eBay last year when I started training and replaced my old cotton gym clothes with real gear. I found some fabulous deals and just went overboard for awhile. Everything was pretty cheap. I think I only bought one jersey full price because I wanted it to match a pair of shorts I got.

So, I ended up with:

9 bike shorts, 4 bike tights, and two skin suits (Voler, great on tri bike because nothing rides up in the back)

20+ jerseys Embarassed

An assortment of tri shorts and tops from trying out different types and brands. The ones I don't like for racing I wear for training (bricks).

For running, I follow the local BT gurus' advice and keep several pairs (4) of shoes in rotation. I also buy new pairs when they're on sale, not right when I need them.

Tech shirts, running shorts, tights, bra tops, caps, wicking socks... I'll let you know next week when I'm done counting.

The only type of gear I only keep the minimum around for is swim suits. I just wear them until they become "indecent" and then buy the next one, usually from the "grab bag" on swimoutlet.com. Since I don't see much in the pool without my contacts I somehow doesn't matter to me what I look like... Smile

x2 They all seem to hold up pretty well. My oldest bike shorts are two years old and now showing the wear. I'll wear them out on the trainer this winter. I guess if I only used one or two shorts in rotation then they'd last about a year with me.
