Subject: RE: Training Wear. Uhhhh, way too much stuff here. I went crazy on eBay last year when I started training and replaced my old cotton gym clothes with real gear. I found some fabulous deals and just went overboard for awhile. Everything was pretty cheap. I think I only bought one jersey full price because I wanted it to match a pair of shorts I got. So, I ended up with: 9 bike shorts, 4 bike tights, and two skin suits (Voler, great on tri bike because nothing rides up in the back) 20+ jerseys
An assortment of tri shorts and tops from trying out different types and brands. The ones I don't like for racing I wear for training (bricks). For running, I follow the local BT gurus' advice and keep several pairs (4) of shoes in rotation. I also buy new pairs when they're on sale, not right when I need them. Tech shirts, running shorts, tights, bra tops, caps, wicking socks... I'll let you know next week when I'm done counting. The only type of gear I only keep the minimum around for is swim suits. I just wear them until they become "indecent" and then buy the next one, usually from the "grab bag" on swimoutlet.com. Since I don't see much in the pool without my contacts I somehow doesn't matter to me what I look like... |
