Hello, I am new to the sport of Tri.  I just participated in my first sprint tri in Los Alamos. NM.  It was a great experience, and now I am hooked!

I live in Albuquerque, NM and am going to train for a second sprint in December called the Jingle Bell tri.  I will be in Rio Rancho (a suburb of Albuquerque).

I am almost 35 and am making this my sport.  I have been "recruiting" my friends and my wife and kids to start participating in the sport.  So far I have been pretty successful.  It seems everyone is hanging up the ol' cleats looking for an other sport.

I love the training and am experienceing a big learning curve, but look forward to everything.

Dennis

Welcome to BT and congrats on having a wonderful first tri!!!

The forums are a great help and a good way of getting to know the folks here, but can be a LOT of info ... looking to the articles is really helpful for starting out and keeping it simple.

Good luck!

Hi Dennis

Welcome to BT.  I'm jealous that you get to do a triathlon in December.  It's not really an option here in the Pacific Northwest.

Best of luck at the Jingle Bell and keep recruiting.
