Has anyone done this Alpharetta Century?  I was going to do the 65, but need to know how hilly it is.  Feedback?

Is this new?  I've never heard of it before!  I can't do it this year, but it's good to remember for the future!

I hadn't heard of it either but my guess is that it is hilly.  I think only area in N metro that isn't hilly is called right along side the Chattahoochee.

I have emailed to contact person to see if I can get a course map. I may be up for the full century depending on the route

The routes have been posted. I only took a quick look, but it looks like the full century goes due north and climbs burnt mountain

From Alpharetta to GA 20, it isn't too hilly. But north of GA20, it gets real hilly real quick. Burnt mountain is like the gaps.

Good news is this just gave me more rides from my house though.

Looking at the map of the 65, it looks kinda similar to the reality ride. I am thinkin bout the century, but I just dont know about doing burnt mountain. I guess I will see how I feel post 70.3

Wow...just took a look at the century route - that's going to be one tough hombre!  Even if Burnt weren't included, the route will include a lot of vertical - Wright's Mill early, Yellow Creek, Steve Tate, etc...and then Burnt...then Freemanville going home.  Legs better be rested.

Wish I weren't going to be out of town this weekend, but like Jonathan said, this'll be a good one to put in the "route selection bag."

I don't plan to do Burnt Mtn.  I'm not ready yet.  But I think I can handle the rest (up to 60???).  Kevin, we're ready to hit Sawnee again, right?  We know where to stop at the top and rest (he-he!).
