I just signed up for IM Louisville. I couldn't believe it, but I was just checking the Ironman web site and it said they had slots available. I was hoping to do IM Arizona instead, but I couldn't risk not getting into one for next year.

Who is with me? There are a few slots left.

Jeremy? Brian? nudge nudge.

I'd train with you, but won't be making the trip

Crap--I'd love to but I don't know how to justify several hundred dollars' worth of race/travel/lodging expenses to my wife! IMLou is definitely on my short list though.

Edit: Maybe I can ask for this from my family and my in-laws as one huge Christmas present??? Would be sold out by then though...

all the training help will be much appreciated. Maybe we can all meet up in the spring for some nice long rides. Or at least you guys can ride with me for part of it to break it up a bit.

I can't believe how much they charge, but it does make sense considering all the stuff they must provide in terms of support and supplies. I must say I am a little nervous and it is almost a whole year away. I can't wait to start actually training.

they also charge a $25 service fee on the web site for the sign up service so that makes it $550.

It is pretty crazy. I also want to get a new bike. So that is like what $64.98 at Wal-Mart right?
