Yeah, yeah - stupid question, I know, but I'm trying to gauge myself against the rest of the world. So, here goes - based on the profile provided below, how long would you (honestly) anticipate it would take to ride this century? I did this one this past weekend but it wasn't timed and there are no finishing times.

It would take me 9 -10 hours at my current state of out of shape.

It's hard to get my body over hills like that (and I'm slow compared to a lot of people here), so probably 6 hours, comfortably (I average between 15-17 mph on my typical long training rides, that have similar climbing).  Between 5:30 to 6:00 if it was a race (and didn't have a run afterwards).

It's about 5-6K feet of climbing?  Solvang Century has about 5500 but is at sea level.  6 hours at sea level, add a bit of time to account for elevation topping out at 9K.  Only tough part looks to be about miles 36-39, rest looks like a mild climb, downhill or flat

I didn't even consider that.  If you are aclimated, this may not be a problem.  But if you are arriving from sea level, it could have a huge impact.

I used to live in Denver and these kind of climbs were fine for me, but when I would get guests from the mid west, they would really struggle.  But after two weeks, they could keep up quite well.

Thanks for all the quick responses!

I'm somewhat encouraged. I did it in 8 hours, but I've never ridden over 25 miles in my life (38 years) until this summer. I spent ~3 months getting ready for this one, so for a rank amateur, 8 hours maybe isn't so bad considering the much harder folks here are around 6.

Hopefully next year will be faster.

(Did I mention I rode it on my 13 year old Trek 1220? And that just before the really steep climb at ~38 miles I noticed a low pressure back tire?)
