Pre-race routine:

Had cinnamon roll, orange juice and coffee at hotel.
Event warmup:

Ran fast to get time chip and to starting line. Got there with 10 minutes before the race was going to start, thanks to my hubby. It's a good thing that they were running a few minutes behind. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use one of the outhouses(and this was before the race started)

Comments:

I liked the course. Scenic trail with lots of shade and went over the Rio Grande River. Pushed myself to go at a pace that would be challenging and use other people to help me pace. (Didn't have GPS) If I felt I could pass them, I would. I felt that I passed up quite a few people.
What would you do differently?:

Drink more water before race, use the commode before the race and arrive at least 30 minutes before the race.

Walk and stretch.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Transportation problems, resulting in late arrival.

Event comments:

I liked the course and the post race activities. Delicious breakfast burritos, chips and salsa and breads. It was chip timed, but there was some problem with getting results, so we only knew the top three finishers for the 1/2 marathon. (I don't even know my official time yet)
