Subject: Trtion Swim trainer vs Vasa Swim trainer

I think I am about to pull the trigger and get a triton swim trainer but have been back and forth between Triton and Vasa. Anyone have experience with them that they would care to share?

I need to swim more and with my work schedule, a 2.5 yr old and another on the way most of my workouts are later at night after the local Y is closed. I can still make it once or twice a week but would really like to improve my swimming over the winter.

Any info appreciated.

I would see if you can try one out before buying.

When you look at their video online the people using it don't seem to be "swimming" like you would in the water. Especially the guy - he would never get his arm out of the water on a stroke.

Just my opinion - may make a great coat rack one day!

Yeah I called and talked to someone at Triton today and they are basically on the east coast and no dealers or colleges in the midwest have any.

One of those I may be the first to try one and be the guinee pig.

Bump

Last chance for feedback. I think I will pull the trigger on Wednesday and order the Triton.

It is ordered and should have it by next Friday. I will do a gear review once I get it up and running.

Got it a few weeks back and it is a great workout. Seems you need good core strength as you don't have the water for bouyance. After IMAZ this weekend I will really start to incorporate it into my workouts more. Very good strength training tool also as it really works the "swim muscles"

I will get around to doing a gear review one of these days.

Subject: Triton Sweim Trainer - Still Working for Your?
Hi, I know you posted this thread a while back, but i'm thinking of investing too.  How's the swim trainer working out still? I'm really anxious to get myself better conditioned, and the pool is a 30 minute drive from home.  I get there @ least 3x per week on a good week, but my triathlon is in July, and I want to focus on improving in my swimming!

Thanks for your help!
