Comments:

Run was great until Belle Isle (iles 12-18). By the time I was leaving the Isle, I was fading pretty fast.

What would you do differently?:

More base training - started training harder than my body was ready for. Suffered from a lot of foot and knee soreness. Focus more on my diet in the future.

Post race

Warm down:

Laying on the turf at Ford Field until I could force myself to stand in line for a massage.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of base aerobic training. Weight - I was still at 190 (I'm 6'2") when I raced. I don't think weighing much below that is possible for me though.

Event comments:

Tough race. I would have liked to run faster, but I'll take it.
