There's a similar one over in the NC forum, but I thought I'd post one here as well.

Great avatar I mean article. I'm really looking forward to getting down there. Does anyone know the water temp these days? I have been seeing the temps drop into the 30's down there at night. I'm guessing low to mid 60's water temp. Bbbbrrrrrr!!!!!

My bike has left for Wilmington. I am flying in on Thursday and hope to make it to the dinner Thursday night. I'll be wearing my bright yellow BT / IMKY shirt. It will be great to meet more BTers.

Jenn, you win the prize for the most mezmorizing avatar!!

Not racing, but I'll be directing bikes for both races at the corner of Blueberry Rd & 421.

It's my little experiment.  What's harder: a HIM or standing in one place for an equivalent amount of time?

Amusingly enough, it's currently snowing on the other side of the state in Asheville.  Here's in the piedmont it's cold and WINDY!

My flight leaves tomorrow morning and I'll be arriving in Wilmington at 3pm. I'll be wearing a bright yellow t-shirt at the welcome dinner. My cell # is (607)237-5831 if anyone wants to meet up.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone! I need to get a look at the bottoms of Jim's feet so I can recognize them in the water.

I've done both...I would have to say standing in place. Cheered my hubby on at IMFL in 2006 and it was more exhausted than doing a HIM!! Dress warm...it may chilly if you are not moving around much Saturday. Hmm...too bad there was a Dunkin' Donuts on that corner!

Oh, there's no contest on that one.  IMFL in 2006 was really cold once the sun went down, especially in the wind up on the deck at the finish.  I recall shivering so violently after the race that I spilled soup everywhere.  I'm supposed to be done by 5PM (so at least I'll be in the sun) and I'm now stationed at the Hwy 74/421 bridge at like mile 111/55.  So when you guys come by could you congratulate me for building up the endurance to stand around for 5 hours?
