Subject: where to swim, where to swim...

I have to swim twice this week....Tuesday and Thursday.  Anyone want to suggest a good pool here in Tempe/Phoenix?  My only requirement is COLD water!  I really hate anything above 82...80 or less is better.  I am willing to drive a bit to get good water.

Suggestions?

If you are in the northwest valley (Glendale area) you can check out  Foothills rec center. I think it's a $5 drop in. It's an outdoor pool that's never too warm.

You can also drop into masters swim at ASU for $5 I believe.

You can contact http://www.sundevilmasters.org/

I don't know what the YMCA drop in fees are, but there are several in
Tempe.

There is also Kiwanis park. They also have lap swim for $2.25 a session.

I can get you in at "Lifetime Fitness in Tempe" for Free under a buddy pass... several pools inside and outside.  Water in the low 70's (F) inside (not heated) and a little warmer outside (it's heated).

I did end up at the LTF in Tempe.  They have a 7 day "trial membership"...it's supposed to be for people who live here...but, you know.

It WAS nice to check out a LTF.  So I feel like I fulfilled the intent of the trial membership.  It's just such a shame I don't LIVE near a LTF!

Oops... I didn't check back in time for today... but it looks like you got the job done anyway.  Still recovering from the SOMA 1/2 Ironman this weekend.  Lifetime has nice pools though.
