Pro 3715     AZ |  Subject: Wednesday Night TTL Run - East Side Cool style!It's that time of year kids.....time to stop our weekly open water swim, and switch gears to our weekly run. What: Wednesday Night Runs - Cool Kids Style When: Every Wednesday Night - 5:30 Where: Tempe Town Lake - West parking lot (bike in and out lot) between the rail road bridge and the park. There are bathrooms there for changing from work clothes to running gear. Distance: Whatever you need to do. Some people do a 5k loop, others a 6 mile loops, others more. Just depends on where you are at in your training and what you need to do. But be assured there is always someone else needing to do the same, so you won't be alone. Socializing after? Of course! Whether we hang in the parking lot afterward, or go to a near by restaurant for eats, there is ALWAYS socializing involved in an ESCKTC gig!!! Secondary Meeting Point: If you ever get to TTL and there is some event hogging the parking lot, fall back to meeting point 2, which is the Tempe Center for the Arts just west of TTL on Rio Salado. Meet up in the TCA parking lot instead.

I have a long run scheduled on Wednesday so I need to run in the morning (per coachie). But, I'd like to come "walk off" my long run and then go socialize with you guys! I won't be in tomorrow though, since I'm slightly injured with achilles pain and don't wanna do further damage. It's made some healing progress, so I think I might be in for next week. Do you guys bring fuel belts, or are there places to stash water? I really don't care much for fuel belts, so I try to avoid them as much as possible. I usually hide water bottles or leave them in my car and drink at "loop stops". What's the route? Is there a lot of traffic issues? Sorry for all the silly noob questions, but I've never run there before except for at races. |
