Hot Spot

Not sure if this is a health issue or equipment issue. Just got new biking shoes (Pearl Izumi) with velcro straps. After about 20 minutes of fairly intense riding, I get a "hot spot" on my right foot on the right side of the arch (mid-foot). Left foot is fine, shoes are comfy, and had my bike pro look at my postion, stride, etc. Not sure what is going on.
