I am about 5'8 183 pounds or so and I was told by the guy at my bike shop that I would fit on a 54 cm Tri Bike. I am looking at a used Quintana Roo Seduza that is "Medium" size. Do you think medium would qualify under a 54cm??  Just curious before I think about finally deciding. Thanks guys!

I found a size chart for the Kilo, which should be the same, and the "Medium" is a 52.

I'm two inches shorter than you and ride a small Kilo (49).  I'm thinking the Medium Seduza will be a bit small.

I ride an 05 Caliente at 56cm and it seems a bit large. Will be switching to 54 next bike. 54 Ordu fits perfect. BTW, I am 5'8" with 30 incnh inseam.

A good friend of mine rides an '07 Lucero size small and she is 5'8"... all legs. Not sure if that helps or just confuses you more.

Any chance you can find a local Roo dealer and actually sit a Seduza before you buy the used one?

What size is your road bike?

Medium would probably fit you. I'm 6'0" and I ride a medium Caliente. I'm at the upper range of being able to fit since technically the top tube on a medium Seduze/Caliente is 53.5 and I should be on a 54.5.

Well technically I dont. Ive been riding my Uncles 58 bike for the last 7 months. Just now deciding to get my own bike now. From what I read it seems liek I should be ok on a medium.

One last question. Is there anyway to tell the difference between the 07' and 08' Seduza's?? They both look the same. It would just ben nice to know which year I would be getting. The seller says he bought it in early 08'. Thansk for all the help guys, I appreciate it!!

Another point  that is important than your height is your leg and torso length. Better way to compare is your height and inseam length.

I would say in general a medium should be ok... but seriously, if you are going to spend money on a good bike like that go ahead and get a professional fit first! Probably the best investment you can ever do.

I used to ride a Quintana Roo Lucero... and I'm 5'8"... but my inseam is 32" so very long legs and a super short upper body, which actually puts my on a Small. I have to admit right now that I was stupid when I bought this bike... I rode it inside on a trainer since it was in the middle of the winter... Fit was good, felt comfortable, the whole nine yards... but I never checked the toe overlap and since most of my local time trials are out-and-back with a tight turn at the midpoint, this is a real issue.

If "the guy at the bike shop" said 54cm without specifying a specific bike, then don't listen to him! Each manufacturer measures the bike slightly different, so a general statement like that is worth nothing. Again, get a professional fit!

I am 5'8 148 lbs. and I am on a medium Seduza, I feel very comfy and have a little drop 4.5 cm and room to move down. It would depend on how low you want to be in the front. But dont listen to the 54cm thing go with what fits. cuz a 54 in one is not a 54 in another, some say 54 but they are sometimes 53 or 55. All that said I am very with the size!
