I shall be watching. Hope this season doesn't go downhill like the most recent Project Runway.

PirateGirl - 2008-11-12 2:31 PM I shall be watching. Hope this season doesn't go downhill like the most recent Project Runway.

According to an article in the NY Times Sunday Magazine a few weeks ago, this season includes a couple new twists, including a rumored twist of someone getting eliminated at the Quick Fire challange.

Agreed.  I loved Project Runway, but this season I didn't watch.

Last season of Project Runway was not great.  It seemed like part of that was because it's transitioning to a new network and Bravo didn't care anymore.

I love this show too!

Am I the only one who thought last night's episode was kind of boring, though? Maybe it's just because we don't know the chefs very well yet...

You know, I watched Project Runway this past season, and I can't for the LIFE of me remember who won!  The other years, no prob...very memorable...this year, not so much.  Must have gone completely down hill (but I still love Tim Gunn!)

I haven't watched the whole first episode of Top Chef, but I did see the quickfire...very interesting.

The mousy leeane chick won.  Unbelievable.

Last night's episode was disappointing, i thought.  We turned it off as the last two were being considered cuz I frankly didn't care.  hope it gets better

I also felt like they couldn't afford a full studio - testing food and hammering the chefs while people are washing dishes in the background.  not to mention, they had to yell to give their feedback.

so much time was spent on the original quick fire, it seemed to mess up the flow of the whole episode.

the funny thing was that when Padma was speaking on Governer's Island, my old office building was in the background.
