I'm a bit late maybe to chime in, and you probably concluded the same thing as me. 

To set yourself appart as a promoter, and to raise the bar, you'll have to go through the trouble of offering racers a choice (maybe not too much trouble though).  A one time racer per year will want a shirt.  Once you own 10 to 200 of them, you probably choose anything else.

Finally, I like how UltraFit offered a Helmet/Shoe package for ordering multiple races.  I saved some cash on early entry AND got a pair of shoes, socks, shirt, and nutrition stuff.  They were out of helmets so if the same offer exist, I'll be quicker to add events.

newbz - 2008-12-09 11:16 PM man you really should do some races here. the HFP sprints are 35-45, which includes a tech shirt and post race food, and some top notch races!
What is HFP?  Are they in a certain area only?

HFP is a good orginazition. They have races all over Ohio. Very well organized with lots of different distances for everyone. Sprints to Half distances.

We have researched string and insulated drawstring packs, with both being very affordable.
